8 habits to be happier

1. Do not compare yourself: One of the habits that make you feel good and calm is to stop comparing yourself. You must understand that everyone is unique and incomparable and that is what makes us special. And comparing yourself on social media is even worse, the best part of the story is the one published. What we see on social networks is not reality. 

2. Living in the present: It is useless to live in the past. The past is full of learning that helps us live our present, we cannot modify anything from the past, we have the present to learn from our mistakes. You can't change the past but you can choose you future working on your present. We have the present to take action, to live it and to learn.

3. Forgive yourself: All of us make mistakes, we are not perfect, we will make mistakes during the whole live. When we forgive others is a benefit for us more than for them because living without resentment and without any negative feelings is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Forgive yourself for the times you failed and for your mistakes. 

4. Take care of yourself: Take care of your emotions, your mind, your diet and your body. Spend time for yourself, such as drinking water, exercising, practicing yoga, meditating, walking, taking care of your skin, your hair, sleeping the right hours, going to therapy... This will make you feel better.

5. Be kind to yourself: Don't criticize, or judge yourself, treat yourself kindly and with love. Just as you would  do it with another person you love, respect your spaces, validate your emotions, talk to yourself in a good way. Start making decisions that bring you closer to your goals and to find emotional and mental health.

6. Abandon what does not do you good: Including relationships, objects, stop following people on social networks, jobs, people who do not do you well... who doesn't recognize your value. 

7. Authenticity: Show yourself how you are, don't wait for the approval of others. You shouldn't hide who you are, because that way you don't give yourself the opportunity to be the person you are. Trust yourself. Don't try to imitate others, what makes us special is  to be different.

8. Gratitude: This habit,  will make you see life in a totally different way, because you will focus on what is worth it, on the positive side of your life. You will focus on what you have and this will bring more of that. On the other hand, if you focus on the negative, you will never feel satisfied because you will think and feel that you are always missing something.
